News of the Committees

The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance held a regular meeting. Parliamentarians considered a number of tax legislations initiated by the PMR Government in the first reading.

Changes to the Housing Code became one of the topics discussed at the first meeting of the parliamentary Committee on Regional Policy, Local Self-Government and Housing and Communal Services in the autumn session.

Deputies discussed the introduction of amendments to the PMR Law “On social protection of persons with special needs” and amendments to the PMR Law “On immunoprophylaxis of Infectious Diseases”.

The Parliamentary Committee on Legislation, Law Enforcement, Defense, Security, Peacekeeping, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens held its first online meeting in the autumn session.

The law-in-draft concerning the introduction of criminal liability for extremism on the basis of language was considered at a meeting of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens.

The Parliamentary Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex, Industry, Transport, Construction and Natural Resources held a meeting at which it considered several important legislative initiatives.

Deputies of the Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare discussed the initiative of parliamentarian Igor Buga to amend the state program of preferential lending to the PMR defenders and Afghan soldiers who became disabled of I, II or III groups.

Meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance was held. The parliamentarians considered a number of legislative initiatives that involve amendments and additions to the law on the republican budget for 2023, to the law on the budget of the Unified State Social Insurance Fund as well as to the law “On the Unified Social Tax and Mandatory Insurance Contribution”.

Deputies of the Committee on legislation, protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens developed law-in-draft "On Free Legal Aid in the PMR". The initiative was supported at a meeting of the relevant Committee.

A group of parliamentarians submitted legislation “On the PMR Fund for Capital Investments” to the Supreme Council for consideration. The deputies plan to prescribe the rules for the functioning of the Capital Investment Fund, sources for its replenishment and implementation mechanisms, the rights and obligations of state customers of the objects of the Capital Investment Fund.
