The Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance began work on a legislative initiative prepared by the Chairman of the Committee, Victor Guzun. The deputy proposes to adjust the rule that determines how many hired workers individual entrepreneurs can engage under a civil contract.

Deputies of the Committee on Economic Policy and government representatives agreed on the need to introduce such clarification into the legislation. Two legislations “On amendments to the Law of the PMR “Special Tax Regime – Simplified Taxation System” and “On Amendments to the Law of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic “Special Tax Regime – Patent Taxation System” will be sent for consideration by the deputies at the plenary session in the first reading.

Another law-in-draft was submitted to the Supreme Council for consideration by the Government. Representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development voiced proposals to amend the state target program “Support and development of tourism in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” for 2019-2026”. The Ministry of Economic Development proposes to adjust the redistribution of funds within the amount planned for this year. We are talking about several areas. It is impossible to fully implement measures to create bicycle paths due to the reconstruction and expansion of the road in Bendery, therefore funding for this area will be partially reduced. Signs with street names in Russian and English cost the state a little less than it was planned. The Ministry of Economic Development proposes to allocate more funds for the promotion and active advertising of the Pridnestrovian tourism product and equipping the republic’s tourist sites with information stands, however within the framework of the government program funding planned for this year.

Parliamentarians agreed to these proposals without comments. The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance will recommend the law-in-draft to deputies at one of the next plenary sessions for adoption in two readings at once.

Parliamentarians considered the law-in-draft “On Amendments to the Law of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic “On Customs Tariffs” in the first reading. The initiative proposes to exempt from customs duties organizations with foreign investments that import equipment into the territory of Pridnestrovie for their own technological needs. The law defines a list of goods that are eligible for such a benefit in 2021. We are talking about finished products, raw materials, materials, semi-finished products, components, spare parts, the purchase costs of which are included in the cost of products, works, and services. However, there is no “equipment” category in it. The government proposes to make a corresponding amendment to the law. Parliamentarians agreed with this proposal. The document is being prepared for adoption in the first reading.
