The Committee on Regional Policy, Local Self-Government and Housing and Communal Services held a regular meeting. The attention of the committee deputies was focused on two interrelated legislations of the PMR President, which amend the PMR Housing Code and the law on the Road Fund.
The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance considered the amendments to the budget law for 2024 submitted by the PMR Government. They provide for an increase in planned limits on wages for teachers and employees of healthcare institutions.
The Law “On the Republican Budget for 2024” will set standards according to which children under 7 years old, Suvorov Military College pupils and cadets will be able to use public transport for free throughout the year. The benefit during the academic year for schoolchildren, university students, technical schools and colleges will be 50 percent on urban and suburban routes and 25 percent on intercity routes.
Deputies of the Committee on Regional Policy, Local Self-Government and Housing and Communal Services considered amendments to the law “On Local Authorities, Local Self-Government and State Administration in the PMR”. The law-in-draft has been prepared for adoption in the second reading.
Deputies of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeyeva and Gregory Dyachenko initiated amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses in order to exclude the imposition of liability for the use of Nazi attributes and symbols of extremist organizations in works of science, literature, art and the media.
The Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens considered at its meeting the law-in-draft “On the PMR law enforcement agencies”. The law-in-draft was directed by the PMR President.
The Committee on Social Policy, Health Care, Labor, Family and Childhood Issues prepared for the second reading a package of legislations on amending the PMR Law “On Labor Protection and Safety” and on introducing amendments and additions to the PMR Labor Code.
The draft law on amendments and additions to the law “On the fundamentals of citizens' health protecting” submitted to Parliament by the PMR Government, has been prepared for the second reading.
The Accounts Chamber is supposed be authorized to draw up administrative protocols for obstructing inspections. The law-in-draft was developed by a group of deputies of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of Rights and Freedoms of Citizens.
Deputies discussed additions to the PMR Law “On Education” in the course of the meeting of the Committee on Education, Public Associations and Media. It is proposed to establish restrictions at the legislative level on requests for various documentation from teaching staff.
