The Budget Indicators Adjustment

Regular meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance was held online. Some of discussed by Committee’s parliamentarians with the invitees the issues will be submitted for consideration at the plenary meeting tomorrow, on the 17th of April.

The Government's legislative initiative to introduce amendments and additions to the law “On the Republican Budget for 2024” involves adjusting the revenue and expenditure parts. This is due to the transfer of funds to finance and fulfill government orders for scientific research in the field of agriculture. The Pridnestrovian Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture was reorganized from a state institution into a state unitary enterprise from the 1st of April. Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Oleg Diligul told parliamentarians about the need for this step.

The Committee members agreed with the need to make changes. Amendments to the law-in-draft have been prepared. The relevant Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance will recommend that parliament adopt the law-in-draft in two readings at once at the next plenary meeting.

Another issue that will be submitted for consideration by deputies this Wednesday concerns the budget of the Unified State Social Insurance Fund.

The legislative initiative will reduce the budget deficit of the Unified State Social Insurance Fund and adjust the planned indicators of the revenue side of the budget of the Unified State Social Insurance Fund. Deputies will consider the bill in the first reading in the course of the plenary session on the 17th of April.
