The President Vadim Krasnoselsky and the Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov discussed the budget 2024 of the country, probability of increasing salaries for teachers and doctors, as well as the level of pensions.

Amendments to the laws “Special tax regime – simplified taxation system” and “Special tax regime – patent taxation system” were adopted in the second reading by the Parliament.

The law-in-draft on budget 2024 was considered by the PMR Supreme Council deputies in the second non-final reading. The income and expenses of the republican budget are traditionally approved in the second reading according to the codes of articles and sub-items of income of the PMR budget classification, the amount of subsidies to cities and districts, as well as the text part of the law-in-draft.

The PMR Supreme Council Deputies of the Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare initiated law-in-draft to extend the simplified procedure for importing medicines into Pridnestrovie for another year. Amendments to the law “On pharmaceutical activities in the PMR” were adopted by Parliament in two readings at once.

Amendments and additions to the law “On the fundamentals of protecting the health of citizens” and to the law “On wages of public sector employees, monetary allowances for military personnel and persons equal to them under the terms of payment of monetary allowances, and monetary allowances for state civil servants” were adopted in the second final reading.

Masters of folk and artistic crafts who preserve the ancestral traditions of the peoples living in Pridnestrovie will be able to receive a certificate confirming their status. The document will allow not paying income tax for the sale of souvenir products. Additions to the law “On Folk Arts and Crafts” were adopted in the first reading.

Smoking in parks and squares, under canopies at city and suburban public transport stops, as well as on river transport vessels that carry out passenger transportation is banned in the republic. The Supreme Council supported the Government's initiative in the second final reading.

The deputy corps supported the initiative of the PMR President in two readings at once. Amendments were made to the law “On state support for young families in purchasing housing”. The new standards will come into force on January 1, 2024.

The 10th meeting of the VI session of the VII convocation will be held by the Supreme Council on December 6. The agenda was supplemented today by the Presidium.
