The plenary meeting agenda was supplemented by the Presidium

05.12.2023

The 10th meeting of the VI session of the VII convocation will be held by the Supreme Council on December 6. The agenda was supplemented today by the Presidium. Thus, the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance submits for consideration by the deputy corps the law-in-draft “On the Republican Budget for 2024”, prepared for adoption in the second reading. Deputies of the Supreme Council and members of the Government discussed last week the mechanisms for executing the republican budget in the course of the meeting with the PMR President. The parties exchanged views, gave reasons and arguments for or against specific initiatives. It was possible to reach a common opinion on most issues even before the meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy. The remaining part was further worked on during the Committee meeting, which took place on the 30th of November. Subjects of legislative initiative submitted amendments that will be accepted or rejected by the Supreme Council for the second reading tomorrow.

The parliamentary corps will consider in the final reading changes to the laws on simplified and patent taxation systems that regulate the sphere of labor relations with employees tomorrow. It is also planned to adopt amendments to the law “On the Fundamentals of Protecting the Health of Citizens”, which will allow employees of medical institutions with higher non-medical education to receive a qualification category. The Supreme Council will consider in the second reading the law-in-draft “On protecting the health of citizens from the effects of environmental tobacco smoke, the consequences of consuming tobacco and other nicotine-containing mixtures without tobacco,” which will ban smoking at bus stops, playgrounds and parks.

The Committee on Education, Public Associations and the Media proposed to submit at the Presidium today a number of relevant legislations to the next plenary meeting, which is scheduled for December 20. They were considered at the Committee meeting on the 30th of November.
