Certifications and category allowances for specialists with higher non-medical education

06.12.2023

Employees of healthcare institutions with higher non-medical education will be able to undergo certification and receive monthly salary supplements for their qualification category. The amount of such an allowance is from 50 to 100 minimum wages (from 470 to 940 rubles). The package of legislations developed by the Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was adopted by deputies of the Supreme Council in the second final reading in the course of the plenary session.

The government version of the law-in-draft initially proposed to provide this opportunity only to workers with higher non-medical education in the specialties of biology and chemistry. However, deputies of the Parliamentary Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare noted that the list of specialties is much wider in practice.

The relevant Committee developed amendments for the second reading that would grant the Government the right to determine the list of specialties for workers with higher non-medical education who will be able to undergo certification and receive bonuses for their qualification category.

Amendments and additions to the law “On the fundamentals of protecting the health of citizens” and to the law “On wages of public sector employees, monetary allowances for military personnel and persons equal to them under the terms of payment of monetary allowances, and monetary allowances for state civil servants” will come into force on the 1st of January, 2024.
