Deputies of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens discussed the amendments to the Criminal Procedure and Penitentiary Codes of the PMR in the second reading mode.

When considering the legislative initiatives of the PMR Prosecutor, the deputies discussed the question of whether it is necessary to introduce responsibility for the transfer of driving to a person without a driver's license.

The deputies of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens considered the law-in-draft of the President on strengthening the administrative responsibility for an unfastened seatbelt.

The working group that will participate in the preparation of the draft of the new PMR Code of Criminal Procedure has been established under the Supreme Council. A similar code of Russia and those norms that are already in force in the Pridnestrovian criminal procedure legislation are taken as a basis.

The deputies of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens considered the law-in-draft of the PMR Prosecutor, which corrects the norms of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The Committee on Legislation considered a package of legislations that are designed to regulate issues related to the formation, activities and competences of the judiciary bodies.

The Committee on Legislation considered amendments to the Law "On Advertising" and the Code of Administrative Offenses.

Information on the results of the activities of the PMR Prosecutor's Office for 2022 was received by the Supreme Council. The deputies of the Committee on Legislation will recommend to their colleagues in the deputy corps to approve the report at one of the plenary sessions.

The deputies of the Committee on Legislation took note of the report of the Arbitration Court on the work of the past year and supported the proposal of the President to leave Aleksandr Kiyko as Chairman of the Arbitration Court for another 6 years.

The Government proposes to strengthen measures aimed at combating corruption. The President will have the authority to approve the procedure for conducting inspections and not only. The legislations were supported by the Committee on Legislation deputies.
