A Unified Register of the Population, which will simplify the provision of public services by state authorities and local governments, will be created in Pridnestrovie. The Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens prepared the legislations of the President for the second reading.
The Unified Register of the Population will be a collection of information about Pridnestrovians, foreign citizens and stateless persons residing on the territory of the republic. Each individual will be assigned an identification number, which is necessary for the registration and identification of individuals at the level of information systems of state authorities and local governments.
There are no requirements in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for the mandatory use of general rules for identifying information about a person currently. Personal data from individuals is collected again – this is often inconvenient and takes time.
The creation of a unified register will not only ensure the reliability and relevance of information about the population, but also increase the level of interdepartmental electronic interaction, reduce the number of fraudsters in obtaining social support measures and paying taxes, fees and other mandatory payments, and increase the collection of payments to budgets of various levels.
The law-in-draft “On the unified register of the population” is being introduced into the legal field of the republic in this regard. At the same time, the current laws “On Education”, “On Employment of the Population”, “On Individual (Personalized) Accounting in the System of State Pension Insurance”, “On State Pension Provision of Citizens in the PMR”, “On the Basics of Compulsory Social Insurance” are being corrected.
The legislations of the President will be considered in the second reading at one of the plenary sessions.
