The Committee on Legislation, Protection of Citizens' Rights and Freedoms has prepared a draft resolution of the Supreme Council on information from the PMR Arbitration Court on the results of its activities for the past year.

The initiative included in the agenda of the meeting of the Legislation Committee concerned the powers of the Prosecutor to intervene in a case being heard by the Arbitration Court.

Deputies considered legislations concerning appeals against decisions and imposition of administrative penalties at a meeting of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of Citizens' Rights and Freedoms.

The profile committee prepared for adoption in the second reading the draft laws of the PMR Prosecutor concerning the empowerment of investigators of the Prosecutor's Office to conduct preliminary investigations.

The report of the PMR Prosecutor Anatoly Guretsky on the state of law and order in the republic and the work done to strengthen them over the past year was included in the agenda of the meeting of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of Citizens' Rights and Freedoms.

The law-in-draft concerning the readjournment of serving a sentence was considered at a meeting of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of Rights and Freedoms of Citizens.

Deputies of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of Rights and Freedoms of Citizens considered at a meeting the draft of the new Criminal Procedure Code of the PMR. A working group under the relevant parliamentary committee had been developing the law for 2 years.
