Deputies of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens Galina Antyufeyeva, Gregory Dyachenko and Oleg Petrik proposed amending the Constitutional Law “On the PMR Citizenship”. The reason was people's appeals.

The Committee on Legislation recommends approving the report of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the PMR for 2023 “On the state of observance and protection of human and civil rights and freedoms in the PMR”.

The Committee on Legislation, Protection of Rights and Freedoms of Citizens considered legislations that relate to the rights of suspects or accused persons. Committee deputies prepared amendments for consideration of legislations in the second reading.

Deputies of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of Rights and Freedoms of Citizens considered at the meeting a package of legislations prepared by the PMR Prosecutor Anatoly Guretsky and the Chairman of the Committee Galina Antyufeyeva. Amendments are made to adjust the conditions for the application of parole and the replacement of punishment with a more lenient one.

Deputies of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeyeva and Gregory Dyachenko initiated amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses in order to exclude the imposition of liability for the use of Nazi attributes and symbols of extremist organizations in works of science, literature, art and the media.

The Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens considered at its meeting the law-in-draft “On the PMR law enforcement agencies”. The law-in-draft was directed by the PMR President.

The Accounts Chamber is supposed be authorized to draw up administrative protocols for obstructing inspections. The law-in-draft was developed by a group of deputies of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of Rights and Freedoms of Citizens.
