News of the Supreme Council

The deputy corps of the Supreme Council was replenished with two deputies, who were first elected to the highest legislative body of the republic. They are Boris German and Stepan Stepanov.

The Head of parliament and his deputy were elected at the first meeting of the Supreme Council of the VII convocation. Alexander Korshunov will continue to lead the Supreme Council. Galina Antyufeyeva's candidacy was supported by the deputy corps for the post of Vice Speaker.

Deputies approved the structure of the parliament of the VII convocation at the first plenary session of the Supreme Council.

The VII convocation of the PMR Supreme Council began its work on December 8. The 1st plenary meeting of the 1st session was opened by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky.

Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the PMR Viktor Taranov announced the final results of the parliamentary elections at the first plenary meeting of the Supreme Council of the VII convocation.

Deputies of the Committee on Legislation, Law Enforcement Agencies, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens in the VI convocation considered legislations aimed at supporting Pridnestrovians, as well as in the sphere of road safety, implementation of control functions by the Supreme Council and other issues.

The first plenary meeting of the Supreme Council of the VII convocation will be held on the 8th of December. The corresponding decree was signed today by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky.

Reacting to voters' appeals, protecting their interests, deputies of the Supreme Council of the VI convocation, members of the Committee on Public Associations, Sports, Information and Youth Policy initiated a number of laws. The press service of the Supreme Council has prepared a selection of basic laws in the direction of the Committee's work.

The Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare considered issues of social protection of Pridnestrovians, as well as draft laws related to state support for large and young families, orphans, protection of youth health and the interests of workers from 2015 to 2020.
