The events dedicated to the 29th anniversary of the Bendery tragedy at the Memorial of Memory and Sorrow continued in Bendery. The memory of the victims was honored by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, the PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov, the PMR Government Chairman Alexander Martynov, deputies of the Supreme Council and city councils, heads of ministries, representatives of public organizations, participants in hostilities, townspeople.

Requiem rally was held today at the memorial complex erected in memory of the fallen defenders - employees of the Tirotex company. The mourning event was attended by the Supreme Council Deputy Andrei Mezhinsky and deputies of the City Council of Tiraspol.

628 human lives were interrupted by the days of the tragedy in Bendery. There are 66 residents of Tiraspol among the fallen defenders. The memory of the fallen heroes was honored with a minute of silence at the capital's Memorial of Glory. Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeyeva took part in the event.
