Voting was active at the Bendery polling station number 16. Older people and young people come to the polls despite the rainy weather.

The PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov took part in the voting on the elections of the PMR President. The Speaker with his wife Tatyana visited the polling station No. 16 in Bendery.

There were 257 polling stations in the republic: 255 - in towns and districts, one in the Republican Clinical Hospital and one in Tiraspol and in the State Service for the Execution of Punishments. Voting took place in compliance with sanitary standards.

Residents of Pridnestrovie elect head of state today, on the 12th of December. 257 polling stations have been opened in the republic. More than 16 thousand Pridnestrovians took part in the voting as of 9 am.

Early voting for the election of the PMR President has begun in the republic at polling stations. Everyone who will be away on a business trip or on personal business on December 12, will be at work or service, have the opportunity to vote early.

Russian State Duma deputies urge residents of Pridnestrovie to come to polling stations on December 12. Russian parliamentarians consider that it is important for every Pridnestrovian to participate in the presidential elections.
