An important political event of the year took place in Pridnestrovie – the election of the President. The deputies of the Youth Parliament voted for the further development of the republic and new opportunities for the younger generation.

Vadim Krasnoselsky presented candidates to the Supreme Council for appointment to the posts of the PMR Prosecutor and Chairman of the PRB Anatoly Guretsky and Vladislav Tidva.

79.4% of those who voted supported the current President. Vadim Krasnoselsky was recognized as the elected PMR President for the next five years. The results of the elections were announced by the Chairperson of the CEC Elena Gorodetskaya.

On the day of the presidential elections, Pridnestrovie was visited by deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and senators of the Federation Council.

The issue of the timing of consideration of the law-in-draft "On the republican budget for 2022" was discussed at the extraordinary meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme Council.

144 thousand 136 Pridnestrovians came to the polling stations by 20:00 according to preliminary results. Observers from Russia noted the high level of training of precinct election commissions.

Residents of Tiraspol also actively voted in the capital's Palace of the Republic. The turnout at polling station No. 225 was 600 people by 19:00.

Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Semyon Afyan and member of the Central Election Commission of Nagorno-Karabakh Araik Lazaryan visited the Information Center of the PMR CEC. Representatives of the Republic of Artsakh arrived in Pridnestrovie as international observers at the presidential elections.

Deputy Chairperson of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeeva took part in a round table on the topic "Day of the Constitution of the Russian Federation" that was held at the Pridnestrovian State University.

114206 people voted in the republic by 15.00. Parliamentarians vote together with all Pridnestrovians at the elections of the PMR President. Ruslan Gareev and Anton Onufrienko came to the polling stations in Bendery at their place of residence.
