The 204th issue of "The Councils of the People" parliamentary newspaper was published this week. The official publication of the Supreme Council contains events on the parliamentary agenda, comments from deputies, and materials on memorable dates.

It is proposed to reduce the mandatory work period to 3 years for state-funded graduates who received higher medical education. The deputy corps supported the law-in-draft on amendments to the law "On Education" at the plenary session in the first reading.

The Supreme Council reviewed the report of the PMR Arbitration Court on its activity in 2024. The deputies adopted the Resolution of the Parliament on taking the information provided into account.

The Supreme Council adopted the draft Resolutions on amnesty in the second final reading, taking into account the amendments, in connection with the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the 35th anniversary of the formation of the PMR.

The PMR Supreme Council adopted amendments to the law "On the Republican Budget for 2025" in the second final reading, which are aimed at providing sources of financing for the salaries of public sector employees.

Draft laws submitted by the Committee on Regional Policy, Local Self-Government and Housing and Public Utilities were adopted in the second final reading at the plenary session of the Supreme Council. They concern state support for young families in the acquisition of housing and amendments to the PMR Housing Code.

The Supreme Council has extended the state of economic emergency in the PMR for the 5th time. Deputies approved the corresponding Decree of the PMR President. The reason is the ongoing economic emergency situation caused by the reduction in natural gas supplies to the PMR.

The 6th emergency session of the Supreme Council will be held today. Deputies will consider the PMR President’s Decree on extending the state of emergency. The parliamentary Presidium supplemented the agenda of today's plenary session.
