News of the Supreme Council

The PMR Supreme Council will convene for the first emergency meeting in the spring session on June 11. This decision was made today at a meeting of the parliamentary Presidium.

Amendments to the Constitution, the Electoral Code and the laws "On local authorities, local self-government and state administration in the PMR" and "On the status of people's deputies of local Councils of people's deputies of the PMR" were adopted by the Supreme Council in the final reading.

The PMR Supreme Council has completed the VIII (autumn) session of the VII convocation. The parliamentary session was not completed in December 2024 due to the special legal regime, the state of emergency economic regime.

The Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov and heads of parliamentary committees took part in the meeting. Heads of cities and districts were the main speakers. The progress of repair work, scheduled hot water shutdowns and children's recreation were discussed at the meeting.

A fair dedicated to Light Industry Day is taking place in the Catherine Park in Tiraspol. Industry enterprises presented traditionally new products to Pridnestrovians, and on the stage of the park, state awards were solemnly presented to the best workers in the industry.

The Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov congratulated workers of the light industry of Pridnestrovie on their professional holiday.

Silver at the 2025 Summer Regatta was received by "The Supreme Dragon". Personally, the team captain, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov presented the parliamentary team with medals and a certificate for second place.

The Supreme Council team beat the government team by a split second and earned the right to continue the fight for first place in the semi-final race.

The Supreme Council team showed the best result in the quarterfinals and will compete for medals on the 7th of June.

The President Vadim Krasnoselsky with his wife Svetlana welcomed all rowers at the official opening of the regatta.
