State support for enterprises in the conditions of the economic crisis

11.06.2025

The Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic today considered a number of laws that will help enterprises of Pridnestrovie in the difficult conditions of the general economic crisis.

The Parliament continued to improve the legislation for the development of energy in Pridnestrovie using alternative energy sources. Deputies of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance Viktor Guzun, Andrei Mezhinsky, Vadim Levitsky and Vadim Kravchuk proposed to establish a measure of state support in the form of a subsidy for electricity producers using renewable energy sources (except for hydroelectric power plants) when generating electricity to ensure their own consumption.

The amount of the subsidy will be established by the law on the republican budget annually, depending on the capabilities of the state. The subsidy will be transferred monthly from the republican budget directly to the accounts of the subjects of the electric power industry for services on transmission, operational dispatch control and distribution of electric power.

The Supreme Council adopted amendments to the law "On Electric Power Industry" at the plenary session in the second final reading.

The Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic proposed to supplement the law "On measures of state support for subjects of economic activity of the PMR in connection with the negative consequences of external factors" and to suspend from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025 the deadlines for fulfilling the obligations of investors under investment agreements concluded in accordance with the requirements of the law "On state support for investment activities".

The head of the parliamentary Committee on Economy explained that the current law "On state support for investment activities" provides for a large set of benefits and support measures for investors who invest money and create new enterprises with export potential in Pridnestrovie. Such enterprises already exist in our republic and they are operating. Investors were unable to take advantage of legal preferences due to the negative situation. Deputies of the Supreme Council supported in the first reading the amendments to the law "On measures of state support for economic entities of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in connection with the negative consequences of external factors". The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance will continue working on it for the second reading.
