The Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov addressed veterans of the war in Afghanistan on the occasion of the memorable date.

The ceremonial meeting for the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan was held at the Palace of the Republic. It was attended by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, the PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov and parliamentarians, the PMR Chairman Government Alexander Rosenberg and heads of ministries and departments of the republic.

The government proposed to resolve issues related to reimbursement to the republican budget of expenses that the state spent on training state-funded students expelled for underachievement or unwillingness to continue their studies. The Supreme Council adopted amendments to the law “On Education” in the final reading.

It is proposed to establish in the PMR Law “On Education” a ban on the use of gadgets (cell phones, smartphones, tablets and others) by schoolchildren during lessons.

Amendments and additions to the PMR Law “On the Fundamentals of Protecting the Health of Citizens” were adopted in the second final reading. The concepts of “telemedicine technologies” and “palliative medical care” were enshrined at the legislative level, and criteria for the availability and quality of medical care were enshrined.

The head of the state administration of Dubossary district and Dubossary Ruslan Chaban presented a report on the work for the past year to the President and parliamentarians from the district in the PMR Supreme Council. He talked about what had been done and what still needed to be done.

The Parliament Speaker Alexander Korshunov and the chairmen of parliamentary Committees and Commissions held a meeting of the Presidium. It was decided to supplement the agenda of the plenary meeting on February 14. The next plenary meeting is scheduled to be held on February 21.
