The plenary session of parliament has been postponed to May 29

21.05.2024

Online meeting of the Presidium took place today in the PMR Supreme Council. It was chaired by the PMR Supreme Council Deputy Chairman Galina Antyufeyeva. The plenary meeting scheduled for May 22 was postponed to May 29 by decision of the Presidium.

The agenda of the plenary meeting, which will be held on May 29, was updated today. The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance prepared draft laws for consideration by the deputy corps in the first or second readings. These include changes to the Customs Code, the Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Offenses, to the laws on procurement and currency regulation. The deputy corps will consider in final reading the draft Resolution “On approval of the Concept of budget and tax policy of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for 2024 and the medium term”. The draft concept was developed by the Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

A package of legislative initiatives that introduce amendments and additions to the law “On corporate income tax” and the law “On measures of state support for economic entities of the PMR in connection with the negative consequences of external factors”, proposed by the Government, should clarify the procedure for forming the purchase price for income taxation from the sale of surplus medical and pharmaceutical products and medical equipment that were formed by January 1, 2024. We are talking about the balances of imported stocks formed as of January 1, 2024: medical and pharmaceutical products included in the list of socially significant goods; medical equipment purchased for the purpose of sale under procurement contracts for state (municipal) needs, when applying a trade markup level of no more than 25%. The draft laws were considered in the course of the meeting by the Committee on Economic Policy and submitted for consideration to the plenary meeting of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, which will be held on May 29.
