The Accounts Chamber summed up the results of work for 2023

The Accounts Chamber of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic held a reporting Board on the results of work for the past year. The Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the PMR Galina Antyufeyeva, the Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance Viktor Guzun and his Deputy Vadim Kravchuk took part in the work of the Collegium. The parliamentarians congratulated the PMR Accounts Chamber employees on the Day of the Financial System Worker and in honor of the professional holiday presented orders, medals, letters of gratitude and certificates of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic to those who distinguished themselves.

The work of the Accounts Chamber of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic took place within the framework determined by law, as well as in accordance with the approved work plan and instructions of the PMR Supreme Council in 2023. Work was carried out on external financial control in various forms: preliminary, current and subsequent control. As noted by the Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance, Viktor Guzun, whose Committee closely cooperates with the Accounts Chamber, a lot was done to improve the regulatory framework on such issues as tariffs, meals in preschool and school institutions, street lighting and many others last year.

The Supreme Council of the PMSSR adopted the first budget law on May 21, 1991. The financial system of the republic began from this day. Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov congratulated the workers of the financial system of the republic on their professional holiday.

Alexander Korshunov said that conditions were gradually being created in the republic to ensure the financial stability of the state, intensify business life and improve the well-being of citizens thanks to the work of employees of the financial system of Pridnestrovie.

The PMR Accounts Chamber Chairman Svetlana Izmestyeva announced the main indicators of the work of the control body subordinate to the Supreme Council after the ceremonial part. The PMR Accounts Chamber conducted 85 control events in 2023. Violations and deficiencies were identified totaling 55.9 million rubles based on the results of the control.

One of the types of violations identified by the Accounts Chamber is violations in the field of accounting. As Svetlana Izmestyeva noted, employees of the control body identify them as related violations. Russian colleagues have similar experience.

The average age of employees of the PMR Accounts Chamber is 44 years. A little more than 100 people make sure that every budget ruble is spent for its intended purpose.
