The traditional exhibition-fair of light industry enterprises took place in the capital’s Catherine Park last Sunday. It was timed to coincide with the professional holiday – Light Industry Workers Day, which is celebrated annually on the second Sunday of June.

54 teams, 702 participants, 300 meters of water distance – the “President’s Family for Healthy Lifestyle” regatta has finished. “The Supreme Dragon” team of the Supreme Council and the team of the Youth Parliament were awarded diplomas as participants in the regatta. The bronze medalists were presented with awards by the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov.

Deputies of the Youth Parliament under the Supreme Council took part in the presidential regatta for the first time this year. Being students of the Pridnestrovian State University, they competed in a student group.

“The President's Family for Healthy Lifestyle” regatta takes place at the rowing base in Tiraspol. The Supreme Council team competed on dragon class boats among teams of public and administrative authorities.

The 225th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin was marked June 6. The most famous Russian poet, who during his lifetime was called the sun of Russian poetry, was equally fluent in French and Russian, but he wrote in Russian. The PMR Supreme Council Deputy Chairman Galina Antyufeeva and parliamentarian Ilona Tyuryaeva laid flowers at the monument to Pushkin in the park near the Central City Library.

The Supreme Council Deputies considered and adopted amendments and additions to the law “On the republican budget for 2024” in the second final reading. The legislative initiative of the President proposed to increase the volume of financing for compensation of costs incurred by the State Unitary Enterprise “Water Supply and Sanitation”, as well as to expand the program under the Capital Investment Fund.

Deputies of the Supreme Council asked questions after the Government report. The parliamentarians were interested in the prospects for the operation of the metallurgical plant in Rybnitsa, raised the issue of financing the arrangement of solid waste landfills, as well as the topic of increasing wages for Spetszelenstroy employees and increasing the cost of construction services.
