The solemn ceremony of laying flowers in memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War who fell in battles with the Nazis for their homeland was held at the capital's Memorial of Glory. The leadership and deputies of the PMR Supreme Council took part in the festive event on the occasion of Victory Day.

An open history lesson dedicated to the Great Patriotic War was held as part of the “Dialogue on Equals” project for pupils in grades 9-11 of Secondary School No.2 named after A.S. Pushkin in Tiraspol. The PMR Youth Parliament deputies Vasily Badyan and Denis Radchenko are among the lecturers.
The “Heirs of Victory” social movement activists conducted an unusual history lesson. Pupils from several metropolitan schools were shown the very weapons that were used to fight on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, told about its technical characteristics and how and by whom it was invented.
The PMR Supreme Council Presidium included in the agenda of the plenary meeting on May 15 a number of legislations prepared for consideration by the Committee on Social Policy and the Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex Issues.
Pupils of the 4th grade of the Humanitarian and Mathematical Gymnasium of Tiraspol presented a literary and musical composition entitled “The River Flows” for Victory Day. The performance took place at the Yubileiny Youth Leisure Center in the capital. The honorary spectator was the PMR Supreme Council Deputy Chairman, deputy for constituency No. 25 “Western” Galina Antyufeyeva.
Deputy of the Supreme Council for constituency No. 32 “Komsomolsky” Andrei Mezhinsky organized “Iron Logic” quiz for high school pupils of the capital’s school No. 18, dedicated to the Great Victory in the Great Patriotic War On the eve of May 9.

Orthodox Christians celebrated Easter – the most significant holiday of the year. Easter services were held in all churches of Pridnestrovie. Archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubossary Sawa led the service, which took place at the Cathedral of the Exaltation of the Cross in Tiraspol. The PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov took part in it.
