Awards for dentists

Dentists were congratulated on their professional holiday at the Supreme Council on the eve of Medical Worker Day. The certificates were presented to the doctors by the PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov, Vice-Speaker Galina Antyufeyeva and the PMR Supreme Council Deputy Ilona Tyuryaeva.

The recipients were dentists this time.

Ilona Tyuryaeva said that she knows very well about the hard work of medical workers. Her closest people – grandparents, mother, uncles and aunts – devoted themselves to serving people, putting on white coats every day. The work of a physician is not only about love for the profession, the parliamentarian added. It is primarily about love for people. The profession of a dentist is doubly difficult. After all, most patients go to dentists reluctantly and are often afraid of medical instruments, which ultimately give them a beautiful and healthy smile.

Galina Antyufeyeva, Vice-Speaker of Parliament, Chairman of the “Renewal” Republican Party congratulated doctors on the upcoming professional holiday. She presented the doctors with letters of gratitude from the party along with the cakes, on which the confectioners specially painted snow-white teeth with cream and recalled the joint projects of the Ministry of Health and its institutions, including the Republican Dental Clinic and the Renewal party. A campaign to provide free dental care to veterans was launched in the republic on the eve of Victory Day and in honor of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the territory of Pridnestrovie from the Nazi invaders. The project concerns six preferential categories of citizens. The “Tooth Fairy” campaign will start again in September. Children will be told about maintaining dental health in a playful way.

The Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov, addressing the doctors, emphasized that choosing a medical profession is always a calling. After all, this work requires not only high professional skills and special spiritual qualities, but also to give oneself in the name of the mission of person’s saving. The work of a medical worker is one of the most respected and necessary. Pridnestrovians entrust their lives and health to doctors and nurses. Medicine is the art of love and compassion, first of all. That is why the warmth and care that doctors give to people is the best medicine for them, says Alexander Korshunov.

The PMR Supreme Council Chairman emphasized the high level of professionalism of Pridnestrovian doctors.

Medical Worker's Day is celebrated on the third Sunday in June. This week, ceremonial meetings were held in all medical institutions. There were congratulations and words of gratitude. Doctors, nurses and hospital attendants were presented with well-deserved awards.
