31 years ago, on August 25, 1991, important date in the history of the republic, the Supreme Council of the PMSSR adopted the Declaration of Independence of Pridnestrovie.

The decision to reconstruct was made half a century after the opening of the memorial complex on the Kitskany bridgehead in memory of the Iasi-Kishinev operation. The memorial complex was reopened to the public today. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, the PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov, parliamentarians from the constituencies of Tiraspol, Bendery and Slobodzeya district attended the opening.

The Parliament Speaker Alexander Korshunov addressed the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers and residents of the city of Bendery on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the liberation of the city.

The events dedicated to the Day of the State Flag of the Russian Federation were held today on the basis of the Contact Center of PSU named after Shevchenko for interaction with Rossotrudnichestvo in Tiraspol. The initiators were youth public organizations of Pridnestrovie, including the Youth Parliament under the Supreme Council of the PMR.

The Supreme Council Chairman addressed the veterans and residents of the republic on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the start of the Iasi-Chisinau operation.

The rowing regatta "President's Family for Healthy Lifestyle" will be held on August 26-27. About 30 teams from various ministries and departments will take part in dragon boat competitions. The team of the PMR Supreme Council is among them.

A funeral ceremony in memory of those whose lives were claimed by the war in Abkhazia was held at the capital's Memorial of Military Glory. Deputy of the Supreme Council Gregory Dyachenko expressed his condolences to the fraternal Abkhaz people.

The Parliament Chairman Alexander Korshunov congratulated the workers of the construction industry of the republic on their professional holiday.

Employees and veterans of the industry were honored in the City Palace of Culture of Tiraspol on the eve of the Builder's Day. The PMR Supreme Council Deputy Gregory Dyachenko took part in the solemn event dedicated to the professional holiday.
