The Battle of Stalingrad ended 79 years ago. The battle on the Volga lasted 200 days and nights. The Battle of Stalingrad is called one of the most important and largest battles of the Second World War and the Great Patriotic War that ended with the victory of the Red Army.

The Supreme Council deputies approved at the plenary session today the report of the Central Election Commission on the conduct of the elections of the PMR President that took place in December 2021.

The support and development of tourism in Pridnestrovie was discussed today at the regular plenary session. Amendments to the state target program for 2019-2026 were submitted by deputies for consideration.

Parliamentarians began work on a state target program to provide housing for combatants. It is designed for 10 years.

The Supreme Council adopted in the second final reading the amendments to the Labor Code, thanks to which Pridnestrovians will be able to quickly receive copies of documents from their previous place of work.

The Supreme Council of the PMR adopted in the final reading the initiative of the Tiraspol City Council of People's Deputies on the right of a citizen to choose registration at the place of residence.

Deputies of the PMR Supreme Council adopted a number of legislative initiatives in the field of social protection of children and orphans. The documents were adopted in final reading.

The Supreme Council deputies supported in the first reading the law-in-draft that will allow applying for a pension and submit the necessary documents in advance – 3 months before reaching the age of entitlement to a pension.

The PMR Prosecutor's Office summed up the results of work for 2021. The PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov and the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Legislation, Law Enforcement, Defense, Security, Peacekeeping, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens Oleg Petrik took part in the work of the Board.

Business school will continue to operate at the site of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pridnestrovie this year. The project is financed from the state budget. The main goal is to support and develop small and medium-sized businesses. Deputy Committee on Economic Policy of the Supreme Council Vadim Kravchuk and Director of the Business School of the PMR Chamber of Commerce and Industry Aurelia Salkutsan, spoke about the importance of the project and plans for this year.
