Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov congratulated residents of Dubossary on the 663rd anniversary of the formation of the city.

The Supreme Council considered a package of legislative initiatives prepared by the Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance, Viktor Guzun in the first reading. The parliamentarian proposes to amend two laws at once that affect the work of entrepreneurs.

The Supreme Council adopted in the third final reading the new law-in-draft “On advocacy and the legal profession in the PMR”, which will replace the law “On the legal profession” that has been in force for 30 years.

Parliamentarians voted today in two readings for a package of legislations that propose to extend until December 31, 2024 for sanatorium and resort institutions the rule for establishing a reduction factor of 0.4 when calculating income tax.

Parliamentarians adopted amendments to the law “On Road Safety” in the second final reading. Drivers of emergency vehicles will be required to take additional courses on driving in emergency situations.

Deputies supported the initiative of the PMR Prosecutor to amend the law “On Road Safety” and the Code of Administrative Offences in the second final reading. The legislations are aimed at strengthening liability for the consumption of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances without a doctor’s prescription.

Deputies supported in the first reading the law-in-draft, which will simplify the procedure for purchasing books for libraries. The legislative initiative was developed with the participation of the PMR Youth Parliament.

It was proposed to enshrine “electric car” definition in legislation. This initiative was put forward by a group of deputies of the Supreme Council.
