The “electric car” will be enshrined in legislation

It was proposed to enshrine “electric car” definition in legislation. This initiative was put forward by a group of deputies of the Supreme Council. The law-in-draft, which amended the law “On Road Safety,” was developed to clarify the legal status of electric vehicles in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and to ensure a uniform approach to the use of legal terms in legal acts and harmonize legislation with Russian legislation. The authors of the law-in-draft noted, that new clarifying signs and plates have appeared in the traffic rules of the Russian Federation, which are used in combination with prescriptive and prohibitory signs. For example, you can mark the parking of electric vehicles, or prohibit entry into the green zone on all vehicles except electric vehicles using them. A special service sign has also appeared, indicating the distance to the electric gas station or the direction towards it.

The Supreme Council supported the law-in-draft of its colleagues in the first reading, work on it will continue taking into account the comments and suggestions made.
