Deputies of the Supreme Council asked questions of interest after the Government report was presented. The parliamentarians were interested in the prospects for the operation of the metallurgical plant in Rybnitsa, raised the issue of financing the arrangement of solid waste landfills, as well as the topic of increasing wages for Spetszelenstroy employees and increasing the cost of construction services.
The parliament focused on the issue of geodesy. This type of service in some localities is quite expensive in the Slobodzeya district, for example. Can the state influence the current cost of services? The question was asked by Supreme Council deputy Pavel Shinkaryuk, who represents the interests of Slobodzeya residents. The topic raised was continued by Sergei Cheban, a parliamentarian for one of the constituencies in the Slobodzeya district.
The issue of conducting geodesy and in particular determining the price for this type of service at the suggestion of the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov will be worked out jointly with the Government.
There were speeches by deputies of the Supreme Council in addition to questions. For example, Chairman of the Committee on Education, Public Associations and Media Igor Buga focused on the problems associated with public transport and the lack of minibus taxis in the city during peak hours and for rural areas. The deputy voiced issues in the field of education and healthcare in addition: the shortage and aging of teaching staff, as well as the reluctance of public sector graduates to find employment in state and municipal institutions of the republic.
After discussing the Government’s report, the parliamentary corps recognized the work of the highest executive body of power based on the results of 2023 as satisfactory. The Supreme Council adopted a corresponding resolution.
