The PMR Supreme Council Deputies together with the residents of the districts, participated in solemn events on the Victory Day today.

The front Dugout took place today in Tiraspol. It is held every year. Veterans, home front workers, and blockade survivors gather at the same table to once again recall the events of the Great Patriotic War.

Victory Day was celebrated in the capital today. The celebrations that were attended by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the PMR Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, Vice Speaker Galina Antyufeeva and other officials, began with the raising of the Victory Banner over the main square of Tiraspol.

The capital of Pridnestrovie joined the "Garden of Memory" international mass event, dedicated to the Victory Day. An alley was planted in the Botanical Garden of the State University named after Taras Shevchenko.

The Supreme Council Chairman congratulated veterans, home front workers, children of war and all Pridnestrovians on Victory Day.

The memory of one of the founders of the republic Alexander Gusar was honored in Slobodzeya. He was burned by members of the Bujor Moldovan nationalist group in his own car on May 8, 1992.

The third stage of the construction of public garden in the center of the Solnechny microdistrict in Bendery has been completed. The sports complex was officially opened today. The Supreme Council Chairman, deputy for constituency No. 1 Alexander Korshunov, the city administration and deputies of the City Council congratulated the residents on this event.

The Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov congratulated workers of all branches of communications, radio and television on their professional holiday.

Zakhar Petrovich Bashmakov, participant in the hostilities during the Great Patriotic War received guests on the eve of Victory Day. He was congratulated by the assistant to the deputy of the Supreme Council for constituency No. 3 "Borisovsky" Oleg Petrik, the deputy of the Bendery City Council Olga Bogatu today.
