Dear veterans of the Great Patriotic War,
home front workers and children of war!
Dear Pridnestrovians!
I cordially congratulate you on Victory Day on behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic!
We have been celebrating for 77 years the bitter and at the same time joyful holiday for many millions of people – Victory Day! May 9 is a truly great day when we gratefully remember the glorious deeds, the courage of the victorious Soviet people, remember all those who gave their lives for the Victory.
This day holds together with an invisible thread all the heirs of the generation of winners living in different cities and countries. Joy and tears, heartache about irreparable losses and faith in a peaceful future have merged in it for all peace-loving peoples.
Today, our common task is to preserve the memory of the Great Patriotic War, to comprehend its lessons, to educate the younger generation in a respectful attitude towards the older generation.
We bow our heads before the courage and resilience of millions of people who defended freedom. Their heroic feat as a high landmark will remain in our hearts, will serve as an eternal example of courage and spiritual greatness.
Freedom was won at a high price. We are grateful to you for your courage, heroism, for your steadfast faith in Victory. Eternal memory to those who died for the independence of the Motherland! A deep bow to those who survived, who restored the country from the ashes.
With all my heart I wish you good health, faith in a wonderful future, peace, prosperity to you and your families!
Happy holiday, dear Pridnestrovians! Please receive congratulations on Victory Day!
Chairman of the Supreme Council
of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic
