"Participation of Pridnestrovian youth in state policy: problems and prospects" round table, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, was held at the Pridnestrovian State University. The PMR Supreme Council Deputy Chairman Galina Antyufeeva took part in the event.

The PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council, Head of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of Rights and Freedoms of Citizens Galina Antyufeeva took part in the extended meeting of the board of the PMR Ministry of Justice on the results of activities in 2024.

The leadership and deputies of the Supreme Council of the PMR took part in an extended meeting of the Board.

The PMR Supreme Council considered the draft Urban Development Code of the PMR and a package of 10 legislative initiatives that amend related laws in the first reading today. The opinions of the deputies on the need to adopt these legislations were divided.

Tax experiment that gives certain categories of organizations the right to apply a special procedure for calculating payments for environmental pollution and the use of natural resources will be conducted in the PMR in 2025-2026. The Supreme Council supplemented the relevant law so that more organizations could participate in the tax experiment.

The republican and local budgets remaining as well as target funds formed as of January 1, 2025, may be used to finance the salaries of public sector employees. The corresponding law-in-draft on amendments to the law on the republican budget for 2025, developed by the PMR President was adopted today in the course of the plenary session by the PMR Supreme Council in two readings at once.

The Supreme Council adopted amendments to the law "On the Fundamentals of the Tax System in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic" in the first reading. The main goal is to clarify in the law the directions for spending the targeted fee, which is paid by residents of cities, villages and settlements for the improvement of the territory.

The PMR Supreme Council Presidium meeting was held today, at which the agenda of the plenary session scheduled for February 26, 2025 was considered.
