News of the Supreme Council

A monument to the Hero of the Soviet Union Vasily Margelov was opened in Dubossary the Day of the Airborne Troops. Vitaly Kalin, Deputy of the Supreme Council, took part in the solemn event.

The Chairman of the Supreme Council congratulated the soldiers-paratroopers and veterans of the Airborne Forces.

The Memorial of Glory was opened to soldiers-internationalists and defenders of Pridnestrovie in Rybnitsa. The President Vadim Krasnoselsky and Vice Speaker of the Parliament Galina Antyufeeva took part in the ceremony.

The solemn events dedicated to the jubilee of the peacekeeping mission were attended by Russian parliamentarians Artem Turov and Mikhail Kozlov.

Vice Speaker of the Parliament Galina Antyufeeva, the Supreme Council deputies Oleg Belyakov and Andrei Safonov took part in the ceremony of awarding peacekeepers with state awards.

Russian peacekeepers have been keeping peace and tranquility on the banks of the Dniester for 25 years now. This is their main task. And they are fulfilling it with honor, said the participant of the fighting in 1992, the deputy of the Supreme Council Vadim Kravchuk

The attitude of Pridnestrovians to peacekeepers is unchanged.

Vice Speaker Galina Antyufeeva, who took part in the opening of the monument to peacekeepers, comments on the significance of the peacekeeping operation for Pridnestrovians.
