Live flowers at the monument to peacekeepers - is a sign of gratitude of Pridnestrovians in 25 years of peaceful life. This is not only a tribute to the memory of the past, but also a symbol of the attitude of Pridnestrovie to the peacekeeping forces on the banks of the Dniester.

Deputy of the Supreme Council Anton Onufrienko is convinced that the monument to peacekeepers has been rightfully established in Bendery.

Mikhail Katkov in 1990 was elected to the Supreme Council of the Moldavian SSR. In June 1992, early termination of these powers in connection with the disagreement with the nationalist policy conducted by the leadership of Moldova. Since December 1995 he was a deputy of the Chamber of Legislators of the Supreme Council of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Today he is an honorary member of the Presidium of the Pridnestrovian Association of War Veterans in Afghanistan.
