The Supreme Council today adopted in the second non-final reading amendments to the PMR Housing Code. They are aimed at partially solving the housing problem of orphans and children left without parental care, who are released from orphanages and boarding schools and remain without housing.

The parliamentarians considered and adopted in the first reading the amendments to the law "On auto-roads", which was presented by the PMR Government. This document is planned to bring certain provisions of the law to uniformity.

The Parliament supported in the second reading the initiative of the deputies of the Supreme Council, which requires state bodies and officials to respond to a deputy's request in writing no later than 15 working days after receiving it.

300 thousand soldiers of Jewish nationality died during the Great Patriotic War, about 300 of them are natives of the city of Bendery. A commemorative rally took place on May 10 at the Bendery memorial complex of the Jewish cemetery. The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeeva.

The PMR Supreme Council Presidium gathered for a meeting in the briefing hall. Meetings of the Presidium of the Parliament have been held online since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. The date of the next plenary session has been determined.

The Supreme Council deputies took part in the celebrations dedicated to the Victory Day in the towns and districts to which their constituencies belong.

The traditional May 9 dugout was organized in Tiraspol. It was held every year. Veterans, home front workers, blockade survivors, and their relatives gather at the table. They listen together with the first persons of the state to the songs of the war years and remember the heroes.

Flower-laying ceremonies at the memorials dedicated to the Great Victory Day were held this morning throughout the republic. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, the PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov, the PMR Government Chairman Alexander Rosenberg, as well as heads of ministries, departments and representatives of city authorities came to lay flowers to the graves of soldiers-liberators in the Great Patriotic War in the capital.
