News of the Supreme Council

Meeting of the Presidium of the PMR Supreme Council was held today. The parliamentarians decided on the date of the next plenary session, as well as on the list of issues that will be included for consideration by the deputies in the near future.

The PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov and Chairman of the Government Alexander Rosenberg discussed the mechanism for further interaction between the branches of Government and outlined a plan for joint work at a meeting with the President.

Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeeva met with members of the Expert Youth Council. The leitmotif of the meeting is the interaction between the state and youth.

The Parliament Speaker Alexander Korshunov took part in the conference call of the PMR President with the leaders of state power and local self-government.

A concert and entertainment program timed to coincide with the upcoming International Children's Day was held on Sunday, May 29 on the square in front of the state administration of the city of Bendery. The holiday was organized by the Supreme Council Deputy for the "Central" constituency No. 5 Sergey Pisarenko and deputies of the local City Council.

The Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov congratulated the military personnel of the joint peacekeeping forces on the International Day of Peacekeepers.

Meeting of the Presidium of the PMR Youth Parliament was held in the briefing hall of the Supreme Council today. The agenda included issues that concerned both the work of the parliament itself and the social activities of young deputies.

The 30th anniversary of the peacekeeping operation in the PMR is celebrated this year. An international scientific and practical conference was held at the Cultural and Educational Center of the Pridnestrovian State University in honor of the anniversary. Its participants were Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeeva and Deputy Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Education, Public Associations and Mass Media Andrey Safonov.

The Supreme Council held an extraordinary plenary session today. The main issue on the agenda is giving consent to the appointment of Alexander Rosenberg as the Government Chairman. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky presented his candidacy to the Parliament the day before.
