Joint Meeting

Chairman of the Supreme Council of the PMR Alexander Korshunov and Chairman of the Government Alexander Rosenberg discussed the mechanism for further interaction between the branches of government and outlined a plan for joint work in the course of the meeting with the PMR President. The meeting of the heads of the legislative and executive branches of power with Vadim Krasnoselsky was held at the presidential executive office. He noted the necessity for fruitful and constructive work and emphasized that the separation of powers, prescribed in the Constitution of the PMR, is an important tool that allows applying the principle of checks and balances. However, they all have the same tasks.

Alexander Korshunov and Alexander Rosenberg told the PMR President about the working meeting that had taken place the day before with the Chairman and members of the Presidium of the Pridnestrovian Supreme Council with the newly appointed Chairman of the Government. The parties discussed directions and forms of further cooperation.

The PMR President noted that the Government team has been preserved, and the heads of state administrations of cities and regions continue their work. The current mechanism is viable and effective, the President noted, indicating that he is counting on its further improvement under the leadership of Alexander Rosenberg.

The issues of budget adjustment and the implementation of state development programs were discussed at the meeting. They talked about measures taken to ensure food security, timely and full fulfillment by the state of social obligations, and support for economic agents. They outlined a schedule of joint and field meetings.
