The PMR Supreme Council Deputies in the course of the plenary meeting approved a report on the implementation of the “Textbook” state target program last year and discussed the problem of deterioration of the educational fund in the republic.

The Supreme Council in the final reading adopted amendments to the law “On Organizational Income Tax” aimed at providing state support to organizations that will repair agricultural machinery.

The state acquired 48 apartments and houses for orphans and children left without parental care in 2023. Deputies heard a report on the implementation of the state target program for the past year at the plenary session.

Parliamentarians supported the initiative of their colleagues in two readings at once at the plenary session. The new measures will take effect after signing by the President and will apply to legal relations arising after June 1, 2024.

The PMR Supreme Council adopted the legislations relating to the sphere of general education, including preschool education, in the second final reading.

Deputies of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance Viktor Guzun and Vadim Kravchuk proposed the initiative to amend the law “On the fundamentals of the tax system in the PMR.”

Amendments and additions to the law “On additional measures aimed at stabilizing the PMR economy” were adopted by parliamentarians in two readings at a plenary session. It will allow continuing to pay debts on severance pay and salaries to those who worked under an employment contract or contract at OJSC Litmash. The company is currently in bankruptcy.

“On the report of the PMR Supreme Council Chairman on the activity results of the PMR Supreme Council and its bodies for 2023” draft resolution was adopted by at the Parliament plenary session. Information on legislative work, foreign policy activities and international cooperation is presented in the report.

Medical Worker Day is traditionally celebrated in the PMR on the third Sunday of June. The PMR Supreme Council Deputy Chairman Galina Antyufeyeva came to congratulate the doctors of her district on their professional holiday.

The extended meeting was held at the presidential executive office. Future projects of the consolidated budget and the Capital Investment Fund for 2025 were discussed. The discussion was attended by the PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov, Vice-Speaker Galina Antyufeeva, as well as heads of parliamentary committees Viktor Guzun, Sergey Cheban, Igor Buga and Ruslan Gareev.
