Submission of documents on the basis of a power of attorney

The Supreme Council deputies adopted amendments to the law "On the right of citizens of the PMR to freedom of movement, choice of place of stay and residence within the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic" in the second final reading. The adopted norms will give the right to a citizen of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic to submit documents for registration at the place of residence or at the place of stay through his representative who has a power of attorney.

The authors of the amendments to the law are parliamentarians of the Committee on Legislation for the Protection of Citizens' Rights and Freedoms Galina Antyufeyeva, Gregory Dyachenko, Oleg Petrik and Valery Babchinetsky. The law-in-draft is of a social nature, since there are cases when elderly people or those with a serious illness cannot personally apply to the registration authority. Therefore, the deputies initiated law-in-draft to simplify the procedure for registering citizens of the PMR at their place of residence or place of stay. It will also be possible to apply for deregistration at their place of residence or place of stay on the basis of a power of attorney. The legislators clarified the list of documents required to submit an application.
