News of the Supreme Council

Representatives of more than 20 countries participated in the patriotic forum dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory in Volgograd. Pridnestrovie was represented by the Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of Citizens' Rights and Freedoms Gregory Dyachenko and Plenipotentiary Representative of the PMR Supreme Council in the Russian Federation on Interparliamentary Cooperation Olga Gukalenko.

The Divine Liturgy and funeral service for those who died during the war were held today at the capital's Memorial of Glory near the chapel of St. George the Victorious. The ceremony was attended by the country's top officials. Among them there were the PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov and his deputy Galina Antyufeeva.

The heads of state administrations of towns and districts told the PMR President about the events planned for the anniversary of the Victory. The PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov took part in the meeting.

The Parliament Speaker Alexander Korshunov addressed journalists, employees of printed publications and printing industry on the occasion of the professional holiday.

The state of emergency in the economy has been extended until June 8. The Supreme Council has declared an amnesty on the occasion of two anniversaries. The 204th issue of "The Councils of the People" parliamentary newspaper was published this week. The official publication of the Supreme Council contains events on the parliamentary agenda, comments from deputies, and materials on memorable dates.

It is proposed to reduce the mandatory work period to 3 years for state-funded graduates who received higher medical education. The deputy corps supported the law-in-draft on amendments to the law "On Education" at the plenary session in the first reading.

The Supreme Council reviewed the report of the PMR Arbitration Court on its activity in 2024. The deputies adopted the Resolution of the Parliament on taking the information provided into account.

The Supreme Council adopted the draft Resolutions on amnesty in the second final reading, taking into account the amendments, in connection with the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the 35th anniversary of the formation of the PMR.
