News of the Supreme Council

Funeral rallies on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow were held today in all cities of Pridnestrovie. The Supreme Council deputies took part in the events.

The memory of the fallen and deceased defenders of the PMR, who defended the freedom and independence of the republic in 1992, was honored with a minute of silence today throughout the republic. The Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov laid flowers at the Eternal Flame and monuments at the Memorial of Glory in Tiraspol.

The Parliament Speaker Alexander Korshunov addressed the Pridnestrovians and the defenders of the republic on the occasion of the memorable date.

The Arch of Peace in Parkany, made in the form of angel wings, the Memorial of Military Glory in Bendery and the Alley of Peacekeepers – the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, the PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov, Chairman of the PMR Government Alexander Rosenberg, as well as representatives of ministries and departments laid flowers today at these memorable places.

The peacekeeping operation on the Dniester in Pridnestrovie is called unprecedented and effective. Parliamentarians express gratitude to the Russian military personnel in the PMR on behalf of the inhabitants of the republic.

It is one of the most successful Russian peacekeeping missions in history. There have been no military operations on our soil, not a single member of the peacekeeping mission has died for 30 years.

The Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov addressed the peacekeepers on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the entry of the peacekeeping forces of the Russian Federation into Pridnestrovie.

30 years ago the "Olvia-press" news agency began its work, "News of Pridnestrovie" since 2012. The news agency veterans and current employees were awarded medals, certificates of honor and letters of thanks at the Palace of the Republic.
