News of Pridnestrovie celebrated the 30th anniversary

The Olvia-press news agency began its work on the 28th of July, 1992. Pridnestrovian journalists told the whole world about our republic, actively cooperated with foreign media. The news agency received a new name – "News of Pridnestrovie" in 2012. The agency during three decades was headed by Andrey Safonov, Svetlana Antonova, Oleg Elkov, Andrey Mospanov, Inna Kessler, Inna Deleva, Igor Teplyakov, Alexander Ivanishko. The current editor-in-chief of the News of Pridnestrovie Alla Ivanchenko expressed special gratitude to those who stood at the origins of the creation of the news agency.

Andrei Safonov, the first Head of Olvia-Press, now the Supreme Council Deputy, shared his memories of the creation of the first news agency in Pridnestrovie. The agency worked as part of the Committee on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Press under the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic at the initial stage.

The first persons of the state congratulated the News of Pridnestrovie on the 30th anniversary. Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov sent a welcome address to the Editor-in-Chief. The text of congratulations from the Head of the legislature was read out by parliamentarian Andrey Safonov.

The News of Pridnestrovie Republican Information Agency continues to talk about the main events in the life of our state today. Particular attention was paid to the coverage of the activities of public authorities.

Veterans of the news agency and current employees were awarded medals, certificates of honor and letters of thanks.

The editors of the agency prepared a material about the history of creation, the stages of formation and plans for the future of one of the main information resources of the country in honor of the 30th anniversary.
