News of the Supreme Council

The PMR Supreme Council plenary session will be held in a week, on March 19. The decision was made by the heads of the parliamentary Committees and Commissions in the course of the meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme Council chaired by the speaker of the Pridnestrovian parliament Alexander Korshunov.

Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov and members of parliament took part in a video conference held by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky online.

33 computers, 5 printers and 8 TVs were sent to three schools, three kindergartens and two educational school-kindergarten complexes in the city of Kamenka. The office equipment was purchased at the expense of the Fund for the Execution of Voters' Orders for 2024 for educational institutions by the PMR Supreme Council Deputy for constituency No. 12 Valery Babchinetsky.

The Supreme Council adopted amendments to the law "On compulsory civil liability insurance of vehicle owners" in two readings at once.

The PMR Supreme Council adopted in the first reading a package of legislative initiatives that will attract investments to the economy of Pridnestrovie for the development of green energy in the republic.

The new measures proposed by the Government and supported by the Supreme Council in the final reading as a law will come into effect on January 1, 2026.

The Supreme Council voted to adopt the draft Criminal Procedure Code in the first reading. The new law was developed by the Committee on Legislation, Protection of Citizens' Rights and Freedoms.

The Supreme Council adopted in the final reading amendments to the legislation prohibiting the conduct of peasant (farm) enterprise in the field of animal husbandry within the boundaries of populated areas.
