The mandatory work period for state-funded graduates of the medical faculty of the Pridnestrovian State University may be reduced to 3 years. This is the period of work for all other university graduates who studied at the expense of the republican budget.
The law-in-draft on amendments to the law "On Education" was submitted to the parliament for consideration by deputies Galina Antyufeeva and Oleg Petrik. The deputy corps supported the law-in-draft on amendments to the law "On Education" at the plenary session in the first reading.
The authors noted that public sector graduates who have received higher medical education, including under the residency program, are required to work for 3 to 5 years upon completion of their training, according to the current norms of the specialized law today. The law-in-draft developed by the deputies also proposes to adjust the mechanism for distributing public sector graduates upon completion of their training. However, these issues require additional discussion, according to the specialized parliamentary Committee on Education. Work on the law-in-draft continues.
