Adjustments to the law on state support for young families and the PMR Housing Code

The law-in-draft "On Amending the Law of the PMR "On State Support for Young Families in the Acquisition of Housing" was adopted in the final reading at the plenary session of the Supreme Council. A number of categories of public sector employees can receive a state subsidy for full or partial payment of the loan or interest on it to purchase their own housing, according to the provisions of the law. The recipient of state support is one of the spouses of the young family in this case. According to the adopted amendments, which were initiated by the deputies of the Committee on Regional Policy, Local Government and Housing and Public Utilities, as well as the amendment adopted in the second reading, it is allowed to change the persons in the obligation by transferring the debt to the spouse. This can be done upon a written application of both spouses.

Let us recall that according to the Pridnestrovian legislation, a young family is the family in the first 5 years after marriage (and in the case of the birth of children - without limitation on the duration of the marriage), provided that at least one of the spouses has not reached the age of 40. An incomplete family, where the parent-public sector employee has not reached the age of 40 and the child has not reached the age of majority, can also apply for a state housing subsidy.

The deputies also adopted the law-in-draft on amendments to the Housing Code of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the final reading at the plenary session. Management organizations will have the right to choose the option for accounting for funds for the maintenance and repair of housing stock, sanitary maintenance of the building and the adjacent territory.
