Public sector salaries will be provided with financing sources

The state of emergency regime, which was introduced in December 2024 due to the cessation and then reduction of natural gas supplies, continues to operate in Pridnestrovie. Industrial enterprises are not operating, tax revenues to both the republican and local budgets have been reduced to a critical level. Therefore, one of the main tasks of all government bodies and administration is to provide sources of financing for the payment of salaries to public sector employees in the context of the state of emergency. These are teachers, educators, doctors and medical personnel of clinics and hospitals, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and fire protection, and other categories. According to the adopted amendments to the law on the republican budget, the size of the Agricultural Support Fund has been reduced by 10 million rubles, and the so-called Share Fund has been reduced by 18 million rubles. The parliament noted that the law on the republican budget for 2025 has increased the amounts of compensation for benefits provided to preferential categories of citizens in order to ensure the benefits established by laws in the field of social protection and in connection with the growth of tariffs for utilities.

Amendments to the law "On the republican budget for 2025", which will help pay salaries to public sector employees in the context of the economic crisis, will come into force on May 1.
