On September 26, 1964, the first power unit of the Moldavian Hydroelectric Power Plant was launched. The PMR Supreme Council deputies congratulated the flagship of the Pridnestrovian energy sector on its anniversary.

The first plenary meeting of the 17th session of the 26th convocation of the Tiraspol City Council of People's Deputies took place today. The main topic of the agenda was the formation of the city budget for 2024.

The IV Eurasian Women's Forum was held in St. Petersburg from September 18 to 20. The main theme of the forum was "Women for Building Trust and Global Cooperation". The PMR Supreme Council deputies Galina Antyufeeva and Ilona Tyuryaeva took part in the work of the forum's round tables and sections among the 2000 participants from 126 countries.

Work on a package of legislations that will eventually allow payment card holders to withdraw cash from their bank card accounts and make a deposit at the cash desk of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs has begun in the Supreme Council.

The Supreme Council adopted legislations aimed at improving road safety in two readings. The new rules apply to drivers of minibuses and taxis.

Deputies spoke about the shortage of personnel in education and healthcare and discussed the problem of high workload for children in schools.

The PMR Supreme Council deputies considered and adopted at the plenary session in the second final reading the legislative initiative of the PMR Government, which adjusts the planned indicators of the revenue and expenditure parts of the republican budget.

Parliamentarians supported legislations developed by the Government and deputies in the second final reading in the course of the plenary session.

The law-in-draft developed by Deputy Sergei Cheban, proposes to provide the opportunity to continue receiving pensions with home delivery to those pensioners who have difficulty moving due to health reasons.

The transport discount for children and students of educational institutions, currently in effect in the republic, will be enshrined in the new law "On Granting the Right to Discounted Travel by Public Transport to Certain Categories of Citizens".
