The PMR President accused the leadership of the neighboring state of obstructing gas supplies to Pridnestrovie and called on Moldovan politicians not to engage in intrigue and speculation.
Human rights defenders from Russia, Armenia and Georgia, as well as representatives of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, have appealed to the President of Moldova Maia Sandu with a request to promptly resolve the issue of ensuring the delivery of gas as humanitarian aid from Russia to Pridnestrovie.
The Deputy Chairman of the parliamentary Committee on Education, Public Associations and Mass Media, political scientist Andrei Safonov expressed his opinion on the situation related to the delay in gas supplies to Pridnestrovie due to the actions of the Republic of Moldova.
Two industrial flagships of the Pridnestrovian economy are idle in Rybnitsa – the Moldovan Metallurgical Plant and the Cement Plant of Rybnitsa. More than 2000 people are still out of work at the enterprises due to the lack of gas, said Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy Vadim Kravchuk.
The heads of local government bodies of Pridnestrovie issued a joint statement in connection with the crisis situation in the cities and districts of the republic due to the lack of gas, heat supply and rolling blackouts. The chairmen of the district city councils of the PMR support the actions of the republic's leadership and expect the Moldovan authorities to fulfill their public promises to let gas through to Pridnestrovie.
The PMR Security Council meeting was held at the site of the Administration of the PMR President. It was attended by the PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov and the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Galina Antyufeeva.

The ceremonial opening of the memorial plaque dedicated to the feat of the soldiers of the 95th Red Banner Rifle Division took place today in Tiraspol.
