The powers of the new composition of the Central Election Commission came into force on February 12. The main issue of the first meeting was the election of a new leadership. Stanislav Kasap was unanimously elected Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic by secret ballot. He held this post in 2023 previously, during the work of the previous composition of the Central Election Commission. Viktor Taranov and Elena Gorodetskaya became Deputy Chairmen.

According to the norms of the Electoral Code of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, the term of office of the Central Election Commission is 5 years. The powers of the previous composition of the Central Election Commission expired at the beginning of 2025. Resolution was adopted on establishing the number of voters registered in the territory of the PMR as of January 1, 2025 at the final meeting at the end of January. It amounted to 396742 people.
