The first plenary session of the VIII convocation took place in the State Duma of the Russian Federation today. The parliamentarians elected the leadership of the lower house of the Russian Parliament and adopted a number of organizational decisions.

The meeting of the Commission on Foreign Policy and International Relations was held in the Supreme Council. It was dedicated to the problem of participation of Pridnestrovian vehicles in free international road traffic and the situation in the process of the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian settlement.

The Supreme Council Presidium supplemented the agenda of the plenary sessions with a number of legislations.

The Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov congratulated the personnel of the republic's personnel services on their professional holiday.

Under the program of the Capital Investment Fund, sports locker room building is being constructed at the football stadium in the village of Chobruchi, which will meet international requirements. The problem of the previous conditions for sportsmen was raised by the Deputy for the district Oleg Vasilaty.

The Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov took part in the opening of the renovated square and fountain near the Palace of Culture named after P. Tkachenko in Bendery. This event was timed to coincide with the City Day.
